Archer Daniels Midland Company is one of the largest agricultural processors in the world. Serving as a vital link between farmers and consumers, we take crops and process them to make food ingredients, animal feed ingredients, renewable fuels and naturally derived alternatives to industrial chemicals.
Because everything ADM does begins with agriculture, our partnership with the farming community is vital. Farmers are essential to the overall economy, and that's why we work to be essential to them - creating thousands of products from their crops, hundreds of markets for their crops.
Founded in 1902 and incorporated in 1923, ADM is headquartered in Decatur, Illinois, and operates processing and manufacturing facilities across the United States and worldwide. Through our extensive global distribution facilities and capabilities, ADM makes a significant contribution to the world's economy and quality of life.
The demand for agricultural products is ever-increasing. As the global population grows, so does the need for quality foods, enhanced nutrition, consistent feed ingredients for livestock, alternative fuel sources, and environmentally friendly chemical alternatives. And to get these high-demand products to their global destinations, it takes an extensive distribution and transportation infrastructure.
ADM plays a pivotal role in meeting every one of these crucial economic challenges. Our steady, consistent stream of dependable ingredients and agricultural products is a vital asset to manufacturers worldwide, providing wholesome food and a better life to millions of people around the globe.
ADM Mission: To unlock the potential of nature to improve the quality of life.
The implementation of our mission statement is evident in virtually every area of Archer Daniels Midland Company. Our agricultural products, from grain and food ingredients to animal feeds and supplements, are processed to actualize their greatest nutritional and economic potential.
We create products that help satisfy global nutrition needs, such as low-cost quality protein isolates. ADM ethanol production reduces emissions as well as reliance on petroleum-based fuels. ADM also makes the food we all enjoy more available and affordable, enhancing the quality of life.
