Now back in London after travelling over the mountains into Armenia as Tiblisi airport is still closed.

All Georgian eyes are on the price of bread. This, so goes the adage, is the staff, (stave or support) of life. Bread is not just a humble, basic food, as the Portuguese artist Ines Amado wrote a few years ago, but even to the irreligious, the symbol of the body itself in its impermanence, transience and fragility. No one in Georgia needs any reminder of the latter!
